Abdulhamid Tahir Hamid stands as one of Africa's most influential young climate leaders, with a remarkable track record spanning over a decade. As President of the African Union's Great Green Wall Youth Advisory Board (AU GGWI YAB), he leads continental efforts to combat desertification and promote sustainable land management across the Sahel region.
His dual role as National Coordinator of the Youth Climate Council Nigeria and Chief Executive Officer of GECCI demonstrates his commitment to both national and global climate action, bridging policy advocacy with grassroots implementation.
International Recognition
Through his work with UNESCO's Youth Climate Action Network (YoU-CAN) as Project Assistant, Abdulhamid has empowered youth across continents to drive transformative climate initiatives. His expertise has been recognized at the highest levels of international climate diplomacy.

GECCI's Global Impact
